Among my favorite cards is the High Priestess, shown contemplating a flower she holds in her hand. A butterfly is perched on a leaf of the flower. She uses a black dress printed with oak leaves, and a string of colored beads falls across one shoulder. Beside her are 2 scrolls, B and J.

The veil is drawn back to expose mountains in the range, and a castle in those mountains. In  Click Here For Additional Info  of the mountains is a lake, which reflects a path to the castle. In 1996 Palladini published a second deck, the New Palladini, which I find more standard and less interesting than the first.

The portrayal of the pips and courts is relatively conventional, a la Waite, and so are the majority of the significant arcana. The majors are entitled at the bottom in black lettering.

(Maybe I require to state here that Mr. Palladini is a graphic artist, and this is where the 'feel' of his cards is originating from.) There are other majors that are much less standard - the Moon, the Sun and the Star in particular. The Moon reveals a big white circle with a face, which is great, but then there is a large blue blob to the left of the circle - possibly indicated to convey the illusionary nature of the Moon, however the point never made clear to me.

Definitely no sense of chance that is the Star. The Sun is once again extremely elegant - showing a big circle with a face in it and numerous bands of color radiating from it. Really, this looks more like what one would believe the Moon would resemble. Having stated all that - I do discover the Aquarian Tarot appealing, and legible.
